What If We've Been Thinking About Church All Wrong?
For many Christians, church has become a weekly routine. We attend a service, listen to a sermon, participate in worship, and return to life as usual.
But when we look at the first-century church in Scripture, we discover something far greater.
We see believers devoted to God's Word and to one another. People who prayed together, shared their lives, cared for each other's needs, exercised their spiritual gifts, and boldly proclaimed the gospel.
Their faith was evident in how they lived.
The church was never intended to be an audience gathered around a platform. It's a body of believers equipped to accomplish God's purposes.

We take God's Word seriously. We teach Scripture in its context, explore its depth, and apply its truth to everyday life. Our desire is to see believers grow in biblical knowledge, spiritual maturity, and obedience to Christ.

We believe church is a community of believers who share life together. We build meaningful relationships, carry one another's burdens, encourage spiritual growth, and practice biblical accountability. We learn to depend on one another as members of Christ's body.

Devoted to Prayer
We pray together, seek God's presence, and depend on the Holy Spirit to guide and empower us. We believe the gifts of the Holy Spirit remain active today and that every believer has a role in building up the church.
We're Making Disciples, Not Building an Audience.
Jesus commanded His followers to make disciples. Scripture teaches that spiritual leaders are called to equip believers for the work of ministry, and that every member of Christ's body has a responsibility to contribute.
We take that calling seriously.
At Cornerstone, we believe every Christian should be growing in God's Word, developing spiritual maturity, using their gifts, serving others, and participating in the mission of the church.
We believe faith should produce action. James reminds us that faith without works is dead (James 2:17).
We want to see believers who know God's Word, walk in the power of the Holy Spirit, love one another, and demonstrate their faith through the way they live.
Our desire is to grow together into the fullness of what Christ has called His church to be.

We gather to worship, pray, study God's Word, share communion, and encourage one another in our faith.
We believe these gatherings should strengthen our relationships with God and one another, equip us for ministry, and help us grow in spiritual maturity.
Go live as the church God has called us to be.
The Christian life continues far beyond our gatherings.
We are called to love and serve others, meet needs, carry one another's burdens, exercise our spiritual gifts, share the gospel, and make disciples.
This requires more than attending church. It calls for personal obedience, genuine relationships, mutual dependency, and a willingness to take responsibility for one another.
Every believer has a role. Every gift has a purpose. Every day is an opportunity to live out our faith.
We gather to grow. We go to live out what we've learned.
Church is who we are together in Christ, wherever He leads us.
What Does Church in a Home Look Like?
A Home. A Community. A Shared Pursuit of Jesus.
Cornerstone is a church family that currently gathers in a home in Palm Desert, serving people throughout the Coachella Valley.
Our smaller setting creates opportunities for genuine relationships, personal encouragement, and growing together in faith.
We begin our gatherings with worship and prayer, making time to seek God and minister to one another. We study the Bible in depth and encourage conversation about how God's Word applies to our lives.
Youth have their own time of biblical teaching during the main teaching.
Following our gathering, we enjoy the opportunity to share a meal, spend time together, and build friendships.
We also meet throughout the week for Bible studies, prayer, and men's and women's gatherings.
While we meet in a home, we are a church committed to biblical teaching, spiritual leadership, discipleship, accountability, worship, fellowship, and the mission Jesus gave His followers.
Our vision is to see this kind of biblical Christian community grow into homes throughout the Coachella Valley.
